Victoria Jean Cherry

Victoria Jean (Bauman) Cherry 70, of Raeford, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022.  Vicky was born in June, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in Granite City, Illinois.

Vicky is survived by her daughter Dawn Fields (Carlos) of Belleville, IL, grandson Matthew Ryan Cherry (Delane) of Raeford, NC., and granddaughters Alexis Gambrell of Belleville, IL., Alize Gambrell of Belleville, IL., Azalya Gambrell of Belleville, IL., and Ajanae Fields of Belleville, IL. Eight great grandchildren, Harlem, Bronx, Brooklyn, Avery, Axel, Maddalynn, and Rylynn and Anatasia who will be born soon. As well as one sister, Sherry Scotti (Eddie) of Simpsonville, SC, and two brothers, Richard Bauman (Cindy) of Mount Olive, IL., and Michael Bauman (Brenda) of Cottage Hills, IL., and her sister-in-law Cindy Gleason (Ken) of Watertown, NY. Many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Vicky was a loving person who cherished her time with her family and friends. Her light shined brightly to all who knew her and to all who love her. She was preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Venita (Hicks) Bauman, her husband Rickey Lee Cherry, and her sister, Christina (Bauman) Ottinger.

Gone too soon, but NEVER forgotten.
