Verna Ruth Reece

Verna Ruth Reece, 86, of Jacksonville, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully at the home of Janna and Loy Bean, her daughter and son-in-law, on Friday, September 3, 2021.

Verna was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed helping family and friends, from hemming a dress to learning sign language, in order to communicate with a neighbor. She will be missed dearly by those closest to her.

Left to cherish Verna’s memory are her sons, Stephen Reece, John Reece, David Reece, and Scott Reece; daughters, Sharon Kamma and Janna Bean; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will welcome friends at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral service from 1pm to 2pm on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Her funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2pm. The service will conclude with a burial at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
