Retired Army Command Sgt. Maj. John Wayne Jackson Sr., 76, formerly of Fayetteville, N.C., died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012. Services: Graveside, 10 a.m. Thursday in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, N.C. Visitation, 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service & Crematory in Fayetteville. Survived by: Son, John Jr.; daughters, Wanda and Gwyn; stepsisters, Brenda and Marie; stepbrother, Billy; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
