Thomas Dong Wu

Thomas Dong Wu, 92, of Fayetteville, passed away on May 16, 2023.

His family will welcome friends for a time of remembrance from 11am to 12pm on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service.

As a youth, he endured extreme hardship and adversity during a time of civil war in China, served as Republic of China military officer, and became an educational scholar.

Thomas earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the National Chengchi University in journalism. He completed his Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in political science at Southern Illinois University. Thomas was a full professor at Fayetteville State University for 26 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sheve Fang. Thomas leaves behind a son and two grandsons. He will be dearly missed.
