Rosie K. Schott

Rosemarie Kling Schott, of Fayetteville, passed away on September 7, 2017 at Carriage House Memory Care Facility in Greensboro, NC.  She was born in Pirmasens, Germany on September 14, 1935, the eldest child of Resel and Walter Kling.

Rosie was an incredible woman whose strength and beauty were surpassed only by the love and kindness she had for her family and friends.  She never knew a stranger in her personal or professional life.  Rosie had retired from Carlyle and Company Jewelers in 1997 after 20 plus years of service.

Along with her parents, Rosie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lawrence Henry Schott.  She is survived by her son, Gary Schott and wife Parish McKinney, MD of Greensboro; her daughter, Renee’ Olive and husband Winston of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Chad Schott of Austin, TX, Chelsea Schott of Stanford, CA, Collin Schott of Greensboro, Allison Panella and husband Mike of Raleigh and Austin Olive and wife Kathryn of Charlotte; great grandchildren, Mac and Oliver; sisters, Ursula Danner and husband Walter, Traudel Hoerth and husband Peter, Veronica Janke and husband Walter; brother, Hans Walter Kling and wife Lotte, all of Germany.  She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and her close group of cherished friends.

Her family would like to express their deepest gratitude and thanks to the staff and care givers at Carriage House Memory Care, along with everyone at Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, especially, Therese Bacon, for her invaluable care and support.

A memorial service is planned for 2 pm on Monday, November 20, 2017, at St. John’s Episcopal Church.  The family will welcome guest at the Kyle House immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that anyone who wishes to remember her please consider a contribution to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Service are entrusted to Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service.
