Rosa Blackburn McDonald

Rosa Blackburn McDonald, 100, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Heritage Place.

She was born in Wayne County, NC, on September 8, 1916.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a Department Manager for Belk.  Predeceasing her in death were her husband, Gene McDonald, her sister, Mary Lou Gardner Wade, and her brother, Linwood Blackburn.

Rosa is survived by her nieces, Claudia Griffin of Lewiston and Jan Blackburn of Jupiter, FL; nephews, Lindy Blackburn of Parker, CO and Billy Blackburn of Raleigh, NC.

A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 11:30 am on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Cross Creek Cemetery #3 officiated by Dr. Mike Garrett.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 102 Ann Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301.
