Beloved by many, Murph possessed an engaging spirit that resonated deeply within his family and friends. He is survived by his cherished wife, Norma Murphy, and proudly leaves behind his daughter, Hannah Taylor, and son-in-law, Alvin Taylor. His step-son, Russ Scott, also carries forth his memory. Murph's familial bonds extended with grace through his sisters, Deborah Murphy, and Lisa Martin, along with her husband, Jeff Martin, and his brothers, Michael Murphy and his wife, Jan, and David Murphy and his wife, Donna. He was the adored grandfather to Emma and Alexa Scott, and he held a special place for his nieces Madison and Ashley Martin, as well as his nephews, Matt and Jimmy Murphy.

A man of many passions, Murph found joy in cooking, often delighting friends and family alike with succulent ribs grilled by the poolside, where laughter and love flourished under the sun. His affinity for the water was reflected in his love for swimming and fishing, where he found tranquility and contentment.
