Nell Brown Jackson, 70, passed away on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026. Nell was a kind, loving woman with the most outgoing, and welcoming soul. She was a beloved mother of two sons, John Paul Jackson II, and Joshua Allen Jackson, whom she loved deeply.
Those who knew her would often describe her as someone who could easily become friends with anyone in the room, someone who was unapologetically herself--no matter who she was around, and someone who always found a positive in the negative. She was most passionate about her love for cutting hair, becoming a hairdresser after attending Paul Mitchell Beauty School in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and always describing it as something that felt rewarding to her, and something that she'd always felt called toward.
Nell was a devoted follower of God, who she has now peacefully joined in heaven, along with her late husband, John Paul Jackson, her parents, Lonnie and Nancy Brown, and her brother, Jerry Brown. She is remembered by her two sons, John Paul Jackson II, and Joshua Allen Jackson; sister, Susan Brown; grandchildren, Ahnica Faith Jackson, Baela Abigail Jackson, Walt Levi Jackson, and Harbor Evelyn Jackson; relatives, and friends alike.
A gathering will be held from 11:30am to 1:00pm on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026, at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service, which is located at 610 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, North Carolina, 28348. Funeral services will be held after the gathering at 1:00pm. Family, friends, and all who knew Nell are welcomed to join, not just to say goodbye to someone we love, but to remember her and celebrate her beautiful life.
Rest in heaven knowing you were loved by many, and will be remembered by all. You were an extraordinary person, daughter, sister, mom, wife, girlfriend, grandmother, nonnie, and friend. May your eternal peace be just as eventful and happy as the life you led.
