Ms. Luan Bui McGinley
Luan Bui McGinley, 71, of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Cape Fear Valley Hospital.
She was born on October 29, 1944 in Vietnam, and moved to Fayetteville, NC in 1979. Luan was a competitive swimmer in Vietnam, earning medals in recognition of her success. Throughout her days she was passionate about singing, often lending her voice on stage at festivals, celebrations, and in church. Her greatest accomplishment was her son, Kirk, who she often referred to as her "gold" and "diamond".
She is survived by her son, Kirk McGinley, and his wife, Debra, of Sterling, VA.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30am on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Arran Lake Baptist Church off of Bingham Drive in Fayetteville, NC.
In lieu of flowers, a love pot will be passed around for donations to go to the Church and Pastor.
