Mrs. Jean Marie Forbes

Jean Marie Forbes, better known as Jeannie, passed away on December 2nd, 2019.

A graduate of Westover High School in 1979, she was also a multi-award winning softball player for her school and played on Fort Bragg in every position but First Base. She studied at Fayetteville Technical Community College in the field of electrical engineering. Jeannie spent over 10 years at AT&T where she was well known as 'the lady who fixes problems quickly and effectively' and volunteered at the animal shelter and the schools of her children. Jeannie loved reading, a good TV show, taking care of her family, dogs, saying no, and a great bargain/deal. Anyone who knew her would say she was selfless, kind, had a great sense of humor, an amazing cook and absolutely smarter than the person writing this.

Jeannie is survived by her husband of 35 years, Greg; her daughter, Francesca; her son, Jeremiah; her mother, Marie; her sister, Betty; her brother, John; her sister, Kathy; her brother, Patrick; her sister; Theresa, and many, MANY nieces and nephews and cousins. Jeannie's family has decided to respect her wishes of being cremated as that is not only something she always wanted but even with the advances in medical science, she could never be duplicated.
