Mrs. Gwendolyn "Gwen" Yvonne White

Mrs. Gwendolyn “Gwen” Yvonne White, 60, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. 

She was born on June 26, 1956 in Wake County, NC to Howard Pittman and Yvonne Barham Pittman.

She was preceded in death by her father Howard Pittman and her loving husband Sherrill Jennings White III.

She was a financial analyst with the Public Works Commission in Fayetteville, NC.

She is survived by one daughter Carie Jones and partner Kris Brower; mother Yvonne Barham Pittman; two brothers Howard Vance Pittman and Sean Burnette; two step-daughters Chris Phifer and husband Ray and Liberty Seastrand and husband John; seven grandchildren Zeppelin Hopper, Kash Brower, Justin Phifer and wife Jen, Chance Phifer and wife Sarah, Mason Phifer, Noah Enfinger and Lilly Seastrand.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville, NC with Dr. Tyron Lancaster officiating.

In lieu of flowers at the request of the deceased memorial contributions be made to a cancer charity of your choice.
