Annie Gore, 82, of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Heritage Place.

She was born on November 30, 1934 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Fulton and Stella Chestnut.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther M. Gore, Jr.; son, Jimmy Bourgoyne.

Annie loved flowers and soap operas.  She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who will be missed.  She welcomed all as her family.

Annie is survived by her sons, Ernest Gore and wife Zena, Harvey Gore, Luther Gore, III and wife Sharon, Ashley Gore and wife Ruth Ann, and Butch Carr; grandchildren, Terry, Nicholas, Hannah, Anna, Kendall, John, Sarah, Kelli, Grace; great grandchildren, Ethan, Regan, Noah, Mary Katherine, William, Luke, Carolyn, Madison; sisters, Loreese “Tootsie” Thomas, and Francis Jones.

A graveside memorial service is scheduled for 2 pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the graveside service at Ernie Gore's residence in Vanstory Hills on Bennington Road.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
