Samuel Austin Griffin JR, age 61 of Fayetteville NC passed away on December 11, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center surrounded by family and loved ones.
He was born on January 9, 1955 in Bradenton FL to the late Samuel Austin Griffin Sr and Shirley Ann Griffin.
He was a loving father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend.
He is survived by his son Sammy Austin Williams of Fayetteville NC; one daughter Tosha Marie McPhaul and husband Joel McPhaul of Fayetteville NC; two grandkids Brian McPhaul and Kyle McPhaul; three sisters Peggy Sue Jenkins of Oregon; Annette Griffin of Hope Mills NC; Donna Baker of Hope Mills NC; and one brother George Griffin of Oregon; one uncle James Rackley and wife Lena Rackley of Hope Mills; several nieces Lisa Carver and fiancé Archie of Fayetteville NC; Jessica Williams and fiancé Gee of Hope Mills NC; Angel Spillers and husband Richard Spillers of Fayetteville NC; Tina Rackley and fiancé Donee of Fayetteville NC; and three nephews Ronald Robinson and wife Mary Robinson of Fayetteville NC; Shawn Black of Columbia SC; Lenny Jenkins of Oregon; and several great nieces and nephews Rebecca, Nickia, Marquise, Johnathan, Jasmyn, Katelynn, Alexis, Christian, Heaven, and Ava.
There will be no funeral services held, there will be a private gathering at the home with family and friends that will be set at a later date to find out when the gathering will be contact one of the family members.
