Mr. John Kenneth McKee

John Kenneth McKee, 80, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in the presence of his loving family.

He is from Bladenboro.  Born to the late Luther and Ruby Edwards McKee on October 13, 1936.  He proudly served in the Air Force and National Guard.  He humbly served his Lord, at Grace Baptist Church, holding numerous positions, over the past 44 years.  He loved and was loved by all who knew him, especially his dear and adoring family.  He loved outdoor activities, walking in the woods, and gardening.

John is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sue B. McKee; daughter, Kim Perez and husband David, daughter Beth McKee and husband Steve Hsu; grandchildren, Gregory, Melissa, Timothy, Allison, and Nora; sisters, Jo Lynn Ransom, Daphne Little; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved beagle, Bonnie B.

A memorial service is planned for 11 am on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Grace Baptist Church on Raeford Road in Fayetteville.  Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Galeed Baptist Church in Bladenboro.
