Mr. James Valentine

Jim Valentine, 69, of Hope Mills, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at his home.

He was from Ridgeley, West Virginia and born on December 24, 1946 to the late Marshall and Colene Valentine.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, David Valentine.

He proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War.  After his time in the service he worked at Kelly Springfield for 27 years.  He was a devoted family man who attended Destiny Now Hope Mills.  He had a knack for finding humor in every situation.

Jim is survived by his wife, Dolly; Sons, Jimmy Valentine and wife Connie of Fayetteville, Eric Valentine and wife Debbie of Hope Mills; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:45am to 11:45am on December 10, 2016 at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service.  A funeral will follow at 12pm in the chapel.
