Age 84, of Fayetteville, NC, formerly of Monroeville, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.
Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Ann (Gunsallus) Jones for 60 years. Loving father of Donna L. (Brian) Israel-Sapp, Diane B. (the late Edgar) Norman, and Darcy L. Jones. Proud grandfather of Nick Israel and Amanda Vanderhoef and great-grandfather of Jacob & Julia Israel and Harper Vanderhoef.
He is predeceased by his parents Albert and Ruth Jones, Sr. and his brother Albert Jones, Jr.
Donald serviced in the Korean War, was a Monroeville Police Officer and was a school bus driver in Monroeville and Myrtle Beach before retiring in 1997.
Friends will be received Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) corner of (445)Beatty Rd. & 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747). A private interment will be held at Crossroads Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Society and have a Hershey Kiss in memory of Donald.
