A Life of Service, Love, and Cherished Memories.

Monty of Mulberry, Florida, lived a life filled with service, adventure, music, and love for his family.

A proud United States Army veteran, Monty dedicated many years of his life to serving his country with honor, courage, and commitment. During his distinguished military career, Monty served as a construction engineer and communication specialist in the United States Army. His service took him across the world, including assignments in Germany, Korea, and Vietnam. Among his accomplishments, he was awarded the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Monty proudly retired from the United States Army, carrying with him a lifetime of experiences, memories, and pride.

Beyond his military accomplishments, Monty was a man who knew how to enjoy life. He had a deep appreciation for bluegrass music, and loved writing songs. Whether he was dancing, playing darts, enjoying a game of bingo, or shared music with those around him, Monty found happiness in life’s simple pleasures.

He was a man of many interests and talents. He enjoyed collecting firearms and was an avid coin collector. In his younger years he even experienced the excitement of racing stock cars. His adventurous spirit and love for a good time were just a few of the qualities that made him unforgettable.

But of all the things Monty enjoyed throughout his life, nothing meant more to him than his family. He especially treasured gatherings, where he could be surrounded by the laughter, stories, and creating memories with those closest to him. In his later years he enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the birds, feeding the neighborhood squirrels, and spending time with his beloved husky Brandi.

Monty was preceded in death by his mother, Mamie, and father, Cleveland, his beloved son, Tommy, and his wives, Monika, Marie, Rose, and Gail. (Yes, the ladies loved him).

Forever in the hearts of his loving daughters, Rebecca (Helmut), Debra, and Judy. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren, along with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Though his journey on earth has come to an end, the music he played, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
