Minnie Lou Knott, 93, of Fayetteville, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Friday, September 19, 2025, in her home in the presence of her loving family.
Minnie Lou was born in Cumberland County on September 2, 1932, to the late Leona and Mack McDonald. Also preceding her in death is her husband of over 60 years, James Knott; her daughters, Doddie Williams, Gerry Bradshaw, and Ann Moore Doyen; and sons-in-law, Danny Chapman and Ronnie Williams.
She was a devout Christian and a longtime member of New Testament Baptist Church. She served in the Ladies Auxiliary where she received great joy helping others in their spiritual journey.
Minnie Lou enjoyed sitting on the porch with family feeding the squirrels and birds. She could often be found shelling peas and shucking corn. Other past times of hers included shopping and going out to eat, especially at Mi Casita’s on Ramsey Street.
Left to cherish Minnie Lou’s memory are her children, Jackie Chapman, Glenn Moore and wife Debbie, Steve Moore, George Moore and wife Susie, Frankie Moore and wife Vonda, Barbara Armendariz and husband Victor; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Gucci.
The family will welcome friends from 2:30 to 3:30pm on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service. A memorial service will follow at 4pm in the chapel.
Services are entrusted to Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service & Crematory.
