Michael "Mike" Gene Pirtle

Michael Gene Pirtle, of Fayetteville, NC, went to be with the Lord on July 14, 2025.

Born December 20, 1948, in Ft. Knox, Kentucky. He was the son of Orville Lee and Pola Pirtle.

Mike was a member and former Deacon of Lake Lynn Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and was very active with the Gideons Ministry. Mike managed The Budget Carpet Store for many years. His hobbies include photography, painting, remote control airplanes, and a passion for music.

Mike was a devoted and loving husband and father. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 41 years, Myrinda Sue Pirtle; his daughter, Michelle Lee Pirtle; his son, Lance Steven Pirtle; brother, Larry Pirtle and sister-in-law, JoAnn Pirtle, along with his wife’s family including his mother-in-law, Macy Varian; sister, Marlene Vandenboom and husband David Vandenboom; brother, Rick Lilly and his wife Dee Lilly; sister, Kay Lilly; sister, Melissa Jones and their families, and many other close relatives.

The family will receive visitors from 1-2 pm at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service on July 21, 2025. A funeral service will follow starting at 2pm. The burial will conclude at Lafayette Memorial Park West on Raeford Rd at 3pm.
