Martin Mastalski

Martin Mastalski, born on December 20, 1959, in Fort Ord, California, passed away on October 28, 2025. His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who had the privilege to know him.

Martin dedicated 20 years of his life to serving in the Air Force, where he exemplified a commitment to duty and excellence. During his distinguished military career, he earned several accolades, including the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, and the Air Force Longevity Service Award. These honors are a testament to his dedication and service to his country, reflecting a life shaped by discipline and honor.

Beyond his military accomplishments, Martin was remembered as an enthusiastic fisherman, renowned for his ability to locate sand dollars along the shore, a pastime that brought him joy and created lasting memories for those he shared it with. His adventurous spirit extended beyond fishing; he was also a passionate motorcyclist, often seen riding his beloved Harley Davidson. Friends and family alike appreciated his culinary skills, as he was known to be a good cook, often sharing meals that brought everyone together.

Martin’s personality shone through in his interactions with his family; he was the favorite uncle, cherished for his fun, spirited nature and his propensity for engaging in silly antics that brought laughter and delight to gatherings. His ability to connect with children and adults alike made each moment spent with him a treasured memory.

He is survived by his father, John Mastalski; sister, Barbara Lee (Joseph) and family; and brothers, Norman Mastalski (Debbie) and family, Mark Mastalski (Valerie) and family, and Christopher Mastalski and family. Each member of his family holds a piece of his spirit and legacy, grateful for the time they spent together.

Martin's mother, Ossi Mastalski, predeceased him, and her memory remains a cherished part of his family's history. Martin Mastalski will be remembered fondly for his love of life, commitment to family, and the indelible mark he left on all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on November 14, 2025 from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service. The graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
