Marshall W. Bailey, 81, of Fayetteville, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, May 16, 2025.
Marshall, known by many as Winkle, was born January 4, 1944, in Cumberland County to the late Alberta and Elliott Bailey. He was a graduate of Stedman High School and went on to work with Monsanto for over thirty years.
He was a lifelong member of Judson Missionary Baptist Church where he served in many roles including Sunday school teacher and deacon. Marshall also proudly served his country in the Army National Guard of North Carolina for over six years.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 2 pm at Judson Missionary Baptist Church. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Prior to the service the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm in the church fellowship hall.
Marshall is survived by his wife of 60 years, Derenda Bailey; son, Kenny Bailey and his wife, Leigh, of Fayetteville; daughter, Marsha Krings and husband, Pete, of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Erin, Megan and her husband, Vashod, Meagan, Joshua and his wife, Koler, Caleb, and Christopher; three great grandchildren, Kylin, Khari, and Elizabeth; brother, Gerald Bailey and his wife, Mary, of Florida; and his sister, Lynne Dalton and husband, Mark, of Clinton.He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Reynolds and sister, Janice Guinard.
