Mr. Lewis Joseph Scheib, a resident of Fayetteville, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the age of 81. Mr. Scheib was born on April 8, 1942, in Darby, Pennsylvania to Vincent and Margaret Scheib who have both preceded him in death.

Lewis honorably served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After his military service ended, he attended Penn State where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Logistics in 1970.

Mr. Scheib was employed by Westinghouse for over two and a half decades as a buyer and later worked at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He taught at FTCC in the Continuing Ed Department for several years before retiring.

Lewis had a passion for gardening and was a Master Gardener for 20 years. He also took an active role in his community by being a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 10 am, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 357 N Cool Spring St, Fayetteville, NC 28301.

Lewis is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Carol Scheib, and their son Aaron Scheib of Durham. He also leaves behind his siblings Vincent Jr., Randall, Thomas, Frances, Joseph, Charles, William, David and Regina.
