Leila Oakley Lancaster

Mrs. Leila Oakley "Lea" Lancaster, 92, of Hope Mills, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

Lea was born September 28, 1929, to the late George and Beatrice Oakley.  She worked primarily for the Social Security Administration before retirement, and she was a longtime member of Victory United Methodist Church.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 11 am at LaFayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street.

Lea is survived by her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Reece Lancaster; son, Rodney Lancaster; sisters, Edra Cain, Patricia Willis, Ethelyn Page and Myrtle Carter; and a brother, Leroy Oakley.
