MSgt Kerem J. Simpson, 32, of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024.

Kerem was born in Fayetteville to Nermin and the late Cliff Simpson on August 18, 1991. He is survived by his loving wife of six years, Carissa; his beloved son, Kamil Simpson; his mother, Nermin Simpson; his brother, Kenan Simpson; and his nephews, Elias and Adam. He will also be remembered fondly by numerous extended family members spread across North Carolina, Turkey, Georgia, and Alabama.

Kerem was an active duty Master Sergeant in the Air Force, stationed at Ft. Liberty, where he worked in the special operations community. He had a passion for cooking, grilling meats, and baking sourdough bread. Kerem also enjoyed exploring the latest technology and gadgets, working out, staying in shape, and being outdoors.

The family will welcome friends on Wednesday, July 31, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 AM at JFK Chapel, Ft. Liberty, on Thursday, August 1, followed by a burial at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery at 12:00 PM.

Services are entrusted to Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service & Crematory.
