Joshua Crider, born on September 20, 1973, in Morristown, Tennessee, left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him when he passed away on May 21, 2026. His vibrant spirit and genuine love for people created memories that will be treasured forever by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege to share in his life.
Joshua was a man of infectious energy, known for his very bubbly nature and the way he embraced everyone he met. He truly lived by never meeting a stranger, radiating warmth and kindness wherever he went. From a young age, Joshua’s love of sports shone brightly, whether he was enthusiastically playing baseball or football as a child or enjoying watching hockey and professional wrestling in later years. His passion for sports was not just a pastime but a thread that wove many special moments with family and friends.
Among the most cherished memories of Joshua are the family camping trips from his youth, times filled with laughter, stories, and the simple joy of being together surrounded by nature. These moments captured his love for life and connection to those around him, qualities he carried through every stage of his life.
His proudest accomplishment was the deep and enduring marriage he shared with his beloved wife Carla Crider, which spanned three decades—a testament to a partnership filled with love, support, and commitment. Though Carla, along with his mother Nancy Crider and father Jimmy Crider, have passed before him, Joshua's memory continues to live vividly in the hearts of those who knew their enduring family bond.
Joshua’s legacy is also carried forward by his surviving loved ones including his brother Jeremy Crider; his aunt Cindy Skillman and her husband Eddie; his uncle Mike McConkey and his wife Carol; his nephews Junior Burchell and Herbie Burchell; his niece Becky Edwards; and many extended family members. Each holds a special place in the story of Joshua’s life, celebrating the love and joy he gave generously.
In remembering Joshua Crider, we honor a life full of spirit, a man who brought light and laughter into every room, and whose bubbly personality and love for people made lasting impressions. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to inspire warmth and connection for years to come.
