John Michael Welch

John Michael Welch, 89, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Womack Army Hospital, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. John was born January 7, 1932 in New York City, New York. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Ann McFadyen Welch, and daughters, Ruby Eileen Parrish and Katherine Ann Brand.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 2 pm at MacPherson Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. James Randall presiding. The burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall at the church.

John is survived by his children, Debbie Warner and husband John, Patricia Hall and husband Gilbert, Mary Williams and husband Ronald, Jenny Stagner and husband Ed, Richard Caldwell Jr. and wife Robin, Elizabeth Mollett and husband Donald, and Anita Paul and husband John. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
