Jessica A. Stewart

Jessica A. Stewart, born on August 14, 1987, in Womack Army Hospital, Ft. Bragg, NC, passed away on September 20, 2025, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. She was a cherished daughter, a loving mother, and a loyal friend who touched the lives of many with her infectious spirit and bright smile.

For over 14 years, Jessica dedicated her professional life as a phlebotomist at Grifols Talecris Plasma Center on Grove Street. Her commitment to her work was only matched by her genuine care for others, a quality that made her beloved among colleagues and patients alike.

Jessica will be remembered as an outgoing and happy person, always eager to lift the spirits of those around her. Her proudest accomplishment was raising her son, Desmond Walker Stewart, whom she adored with all her heart. As a devoted mother, she embraced every moment, celebrating milestones and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

An avid lover of music, Jessica enjoyed singing and dancing to the tunes of the 80s, finding joy in the rhythm and melodies that defined her carefree spirit. She also had a passion for folklore and anime, and her enthusiasm for cooking brought happiness to her family and friends alike. Jessica had a special fondness for the holiday season, delighting in the festivities from Halloween through New Year's, making these times all the more magical for those lucky enough to celebrate with her.

She is survived by her son, Desmond; her father, Eddy Stewart; and her significant other, Sean Jackson. Jessica's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who love her.

Preceding her in death are her mother, Jane Stewart, and her sister, Heather Stewart. The absence of her nurturing presence will be deeply felt by all, but her memory will be cherished as a beacon of love and happiness. Jessica A. Stewart will be dearly missed, profoundly remembered, and lovingly celebrated by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
