S. Janette Tanner Cohan, 79, of Fayetteville, passed away at her home in the presence of her loving family.

She was born in Sampson County on January 30, 1939, to the late James and Sallie Williams.  Preceding her in death was her husband, Edward Cohan and son, James Lockamy.

Left to cherish Janette’s memory are her children, Earl Lockamy and wife Kathy of Fayetteville, Pamela O’Brien of Fayetteville, Janice Morton and husband Tony of Wilmington, OH, Darlene Piocuda and husband Jorge of St. Paul’s, Jeffrey Tanner and wife Raine of San Antonio, TX; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed her job, attending church services, solving crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family.

A funeral service is planned for 1pm on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service. The family will welcome friends from 11:45am to 12:45pm prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Dunn.
