James D. Rackley, Sr.

James D. Rackley, Sr., 67, of Hope Mills, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018.

He was born in Clinton, NC on July 29, 1950.  Preceding him in death are his parents Ross and Nettie Rackley, sister, Shirley Johnson; brothers, Marcus Johnson, and Robert Rackley.

James is survived by his wife, Lena; children, Jennifer (David) Rackley, James (Shannon) Rackley, Jr., Tina (Donee “Buddy”) Rackley, Jeffrey (Vanessa) Rackley, Teresa (Gray) Rackley; grandchildren, Tish, Little David, Devan, Deion, Kailia, Hailey, Preston, Samantha, Ryan, Jaiden, Ava, Izayia, and Alana; great grandchildren, Zhanyah, Alia, Jayce, Layla, Zayn,Samuel, Aiden, Nova, and counting, and a host of family and friends.

The family will welcome friends from 10 to 11am on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service.  A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11am.  The service will conclude with a burial at Lafayette Memorial Park West.
