James Martin Lovette, II

Mr. James Martin "Marty" Lovette II, 65, of Fayetteville, NC, died Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

Although he was taken too soon, Marty will be deeply missed by his sister, Lisa Lovette, his brother-in-law, Benjamin "Benny" Townsend; his niece, Alisa Reed; his great niece, Hope Reed; his church family, and his many friends and co-workers.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia "Ginger" Lovette, and his father, James "Jimmy" Lovette.

Born in Germany and raised in Fayetteville, Marty graduated from Douglas Byrd in 1980 and then dedicated his life to Cape Fear Valley Hospital for over 40 years as a Surgical Tech before retiring in 2025.

A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 6 pm at Sullivan's Highland Chapel with Pastor David Pike presiding.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:30 to 6 pm at the funeral home.
