George Charles Kokochak

In loving memory

Of the wonderful man

George Charles Kokochak

October 29, 1965 – August 16, 2022

George passed away in his home on August 16, 2022, after battling a lengthy illness.

George was born in Detroit, Michigan but spent most of his youth in the south.  George graduated from Gilbert High School in Gilbert, South Carolina in 1984.

As a child, George would build model airplanes and cars. He enjoyed tinkering with anything as his way of learning.

He trained as an electrician and worked in the construction and manufacturing industries up until his death.

George began riding dirt bikes in his youth which grew into a lifelong passion on riding motorcycles and traveling around the US. He was known as a laid-back rider and believed that is how a rider should be.

One of George’s favorite quotes: “Not all who wander are lost”. He loved to wander easily making new friends wherever his wandering took him.

George will be remembered as kind-hearted, thoughtful, funny, caring and goofy. He loved his family. He loved his country and he loved to ride.

He was the son of George Robert Kokochak and Edna Barnhill Kokochak. George was preceded in death by his father.

George is survived by wife, Jennifer Katherine Kokochak, his mother, Edna Barnhill Kokochak of North Carolina; Sister, Alta “Bunny” Kokochak of North Carolina; half-sister, Joyce Sample- Franco of Michigan; Niece, Katherine Heather Kokochak of Texas; and grandnephew, Wyatt Liam Moore of Texas.

George is truly loved and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
