George H. Barnes

George H. Barnes, 73, of Eastover, passed away on November 10, 2023.

He was born in Wilson, on July 22, 1950, to the late, George H. and Evelyn S. Barnes.  Also preceding him in death was his wife, Deborah Guy Barnes.

George loved his music, especially playing the guitar, and his cars.  He received great joy in helping others repairing their vehicles.

Left to cherish George’s memory are his children, Julie Collins (Eric) and Danny Barnes (Jessica); Grandchildren, Courtney Barnes, Madison Collins, Brayden Collins; brothers, Glen Barnes (Susan) and Ty Barnes (Wendy); nieces and nephews, Kelly Raynor, Thomas Raynor, and Zack Barnes; and numerous cousins and extended family.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
