Frederick R. Frueauff IV

Fred Frueauff,  age 87, formerly of Morrilton, AR, passed away on June 17, 2023, at Whispering Pines Nursing Home in Fayetteville NC.  He was born March 19, 1936, in Tulsa OK, the son of Harry Day Frueauff, Jr. and Jan Trimble Frueauff.

Fred was a 1954 graduate of Columbia Military Academy, Columbia TN, and earned his BS in Industrial Management in 1960 at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta GA. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Fred served six years in the Arkansas Air National Guard. Among the highlights of his career: Draftsman, Georgia Power & Light; Sales Representative, Xerox; Owner and Sales Associate, Colonial Realty; Teacher, Circle H Youth Ranch and New Life Academy; Production Team Member, Unilever (Skippy Peanut Butter); and Winrock International Conference Center. He formerly served on the boards of the Charles A. Frueauff Foundation and Circle H Youth Ranch, and was a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts.

He had a deep love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and loved to serve and sing for Him. He began a lifetime of singing in 1958 in the choir at Baptist Tabernacle, Atlanta GA. Over the next 50 years, he was a member of the choirs at First Baptist Church and Immanuel Baptist in Little Rock AR, singing with the Little Rock Symphony Orchestra in special presentations; First Baptist Church and Second Baptist Church, Russellville AR, where he served as Music Evangelist, started Singing Ministries, and recorded his album, “I’ll Tell the World.”

He was a member of Morrilton Christian Center, Morrilton, AR, where he formerly served for 10 years as Elder, Minister of Senior Adults Nifty Fifty, and Praise Team member.

Fred enjoyed fishing, gardening, and eating, especially shrimp and sweets.

Fred deeply loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Johnnie Stewart Frueauff; son, David A. Frueauff (Michelle) and daughter, Anna Kay Frueauff, all of Little Rock AR; stepdaughter, Jennifer Thompson (Chris), Springfield MO, and stepson, Daniel Stewart Patterson (Heather), Fayetteville NC; brothers-in-law Bill Stewart (Rhonda) and James Stewart (Ann), stepfather-in-law, Lloyd Atkinson, all of Russellville, AR; 11 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of Whispering Pines Nursing Home and The Addison of Fayetteville for the love, respect, and care given to Fred.

A memorial service will be held at Morrilton Christian Center, Morrilton, AR, on Saturday, June 24, at 11:00am. Family visitation will be 10:00am.
