F. Ann Fox Rector

Flora Ann Rector, 78, of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 at her home in Holden Beach surrounded by her family.

Ann was born in Fayetteville on September 5, 1941 to the late Nadine and Neil Downing.

She was a graduate of Steadman High School class of 1959.  After graduation she began a career in banking as a teller for First Bank and then BB&T.

Ann leaves behind her son, Ronnie Fox, step-daughters, Linda Thomas, Diane Eastman, and Bobbie Ann Smith; step-son, Tony Meadows; nephews, John, Ricky, and Larry Downing; and her beloved dog, Sparky.

A funeral service is planned for 2pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service with a visitation from 12:45 to 1:45pm prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.
