Evelyn B. Crane

Evelyn Beebe Taylor Crane, 89, of Fayetteville, passed away at Carolina Inn on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Fayette, AL on April 3, 1928 to the late Eldon and Altie Taylor.  Also preceding her in death is her grandson, Benjamin Fortenberry. 

Being part of an Air Force Family, she traveled the world with them.  During this time she shared her love of words and learning.  She was never far from a good book or a witty remark.

Evelyn is survived by her husband of 65 years, David; daughter, Paula Thomson and husband Jeff of Fayetteville; sons, Mark Crane and wife Linda of Mary Esther, FL, Michael Crane and wife Sue of Durham; grandchildren, Patricia Crane of Raleigh, James Crane and wife Ashley of Garner, Jonathan Feldhauser and wife Paige of White Oak, TX, Michael Crane and wife Meghan of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; and three great grandchildren.

A visitation is scheduled from 1 to 2 pm on Monday, October 30, 2017, in the fellowship hall at Highland Presbyterian Church.
