Elizabeth "Lib" McDonald Yarborough

Elizabeth “Lib” McDonald Yarborough, 97, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

She was born in Robeson County on January 11, 1929, to the late Lillian and D.B. McDonald. Also preceding her in death were her husband, J.C. Yarborough; son, Curt Yarborough; sister, Jeanette Williamson; and brother, Frank McDonald.

Lib is survived by her granddaughter, Morgan Yarborough, sister, Catherine “Tootie” Bradsher; daughter-in-law, Julie Higgins; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11am on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Lafayette Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Highland Presbyterian Church Building Fund at 111 Highland Avenue, Fayetteville, NC 28305.
