Elizabeth "Betty" DeVane

Elizabeth “Betty” Schultz DeVane, 90, of Pinehurst, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at FirstHealth Hospice in West End.

She was born in Charleston, SC, on July 3, 1926, to the late Lorenzo and Daisy Simmons Schultz.  She attended the University of South Carolina.

Betty leaves behind her daughter Elizabeth “Boo” DeVane and husband Ron Gibson of Pinehurst; and son, James D. DeVane IV of Greensboro; and 2 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Hay Street United Methodist Church, Maintenance Endowment Fund.

A graveside service officiated by Rev. David Blackman is planned for 11am on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Cross Creek Cemetery #3.
