Cora Sue Nance, 79, of Cameron, passed away at her home on Friday, November 3, 2017, while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Robeson County on May 23, 1938 to the late James Berry and Letha Nance. Preceding her in death are her grandson, Brandon Hopper, sisters, Ruby Peterson, Gladys Taylor; brothers, JB Nance, Ted Nance, and Tommy Nance .
She had a love for God and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren as she felt that they were her gift from God.
Sue is survived by her daughter Deborah Hopper and husband Ricky of Cameron; grandchildren, Zeppelin Hopper, Kalyn Hopper, Adam Hopper all of Cameron; great grandchildren, Gabriel Hopper, Zeppelin Hopper, Brandon Hopper II, Dominic Hopper, and Jessica Hopper all of Cameron; sisters, Letha Mae Salvetti of Parkton, Velma Jean Watson and husband Gene Paul of St. Pauls; brother, Edward Nance and wife Margaret of St. Pauls; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service is planned for 1 pm on Friday November 10, 2017 at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
