Carol Goings Yates

Carol Jean Goings Yates, 77, of Okeechobee, FL, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

A graveside service will be held 2:00PM Friday, April 15, 2022, at Weeks Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Vernon K. Marsh officiating.

Born February 22, 1945, in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late William Chester Goings and Ellen Weeks Goings.  Being an avid dancer, she enjoyed teaching line dancing and tai-chi at the Senior Citizen Center in Okeechobee.  She was a QVC connoisseur with impressive Ninja Foodi skills.  Mrs. Yates loved the Lord with all her heart, mind, and soul.  She will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Eugene Yates, Jr. and brother, Randall C. Goings.

Survivors include her children, Richard Eugene Yates, III and Jolie Dee Yates Meares; grandchildren, Jolie Dee Meares, Noah Meares, Allahya Yates, Iyanna Yates, Isaiah Yates; great-grandchildren, Arie Manuel and Ayva Manuel.
