Billy Herring

Wilton Layton “Billy” Herring, 82, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

He was born in Clinton, NC on February 6, 1935.  He retired from Embarq after 32 years of dedicated service.  He was a 50 year plus member of the Hiram Masonic Lodge #98 in Clinton, NC.

Billy is survived by his wife, Carolyn Horton; children, Kelly (David) Norman, Mark (Peggy) Horton, Karen Ziegler, Jo Ellen Wilkes, and Millie Gilmartin; 6 grandchildren; and his beloved chocolate lab, O’Browne.

A private family service is planned.
