Betty Sue Ackerman

Mrs. Betty Sue Ackerman, 76, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021.

She retired from the US Army Department of Public Works as a GS-9 Real Property Manager. She loved to golf, play cards, draw and paint.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 12 noon at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with Jack Walters presiding.

A Celebration of Life will follow at the Gates Four Clubhouse, 6775 Irongate Drive, Fayetteville NC 28306.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Deanna Cook of the home; two sisters, Beverly Paoloni (Daniel) of Durham and Brenda Masouras (Connie) of Warner Robins, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Michael Ackerman, her parents, Dewey and Estelle Bowen, six sisters, and a brother.
