Barbara Pillow Jackson

Barbara P. Jackson, born August 23, 1932 in Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Sunday April 29th of 2018 in Pinehurst, NC.

Barbara was an active member of the Tarheel Quilters Guild where she made quilts for the Neonatal Unit at Cape Fear Valley Hospital and the VA Hospital of Fayetteville. Barbara or 'Babs' as she was known, is a former member of the WIBC 700 club and competed in bowling tournaments all over the United States. Barbara loved reading, quilting, bird watching from her dining room table, playing cards, and spending time with her loved ones.

Barbara is survived by her two children Juanice Wiley and Cynthia Reckler, and their spouses John Wiley and Steve Reckler; Her grandchildren Jessica Boyer, Shannon Lawton, and Austin Wiley; Her great-grandchildren Sidney Lawton and Luke Brock; her sister Dorothy Reid of SC, and her sister-in-law Shirley Sparks of CA. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Faye Ford and Ameile Pillow; her spouse Donald Jackson; and her oldest child, Charles Frazier Jr..

Her memorial service will be located at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Home on Monday, May 7, 2018. Visitation with the family will be from 9:45am – 10:45am with the service to follow immediately after at 11:00am. The graveside service will be at Sandhills State Veteran's Cemetery for a 12:00pm service.
