Anthony (Tony) Joseph Simpson of Fayetteville, NC, passed in his home on Monday, August 28, 2017.
Tony was born December 13, 1955 to John Hinton Simpson, Jr., (deceased), and Barbara Dwyer Simpson (deceased) of Fayetteville, NC. He attended Seventy-First High School in Fayetteville.

Tony is survived by his sister, Linda Sturdivant, and her husband, David Sturdivant, of Raleigh, NC, his sister-in-law, Laura Simpson, of Hope Mills, NC, and his nephews and nieces including Jason Simpson of Hope Mills, NC, Tobi Simpson of Raleigh, NC, Jade Toler of Owings Mills, MD, and Jessica Sturdivant, Adam Sturdivant, and Troy Sturdivant of Raleigh, NC.

His gentle soul and kind nature will be missed by all of his family and friends. Often times Tony could be found playing one of his many guitars and sharing his vast knowledge and love of music. He genuinely adored his family and friends and all of the many wonderful memories made spending time together. Tony was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend who will be truly missed by all.

A celebration in honor of his life will be held on Saturday, September 2nd at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service in Fayetteville, NC at 11:00am.
