Agnes Fillyaw Tally

Mrs. Agnes Fillyaw Tally, 82, of Fayetteville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
Agnes was born July 7, 1940, the middle child of the late Leon Arthur and Vernie Reeves Fillyaw.  Agnes married her true love, Paul Howard Tally on July 16th, 1972. Together they had one child, Jeffrey Tally, born in 1973.  
For many years, Agnes worked in finance on Fort Bragg.  She later went on to start her own bookkeeping and tax filing business out of her home.  One of her favorite past times was playing the piano and singing.  She would spend countless hours recording herself playing old gospel songs on her piano. 
Agnes is survived by her son, Jeffrey M. Tally and wife, Angela, of Hope Mills; 9 grandchildren; one brother, Leon Arthur Fillyaw, Jr., of Fayetteville; one sister, Vara Fillyaw Sheppard of Wade and many relatives and friends. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Tally, in 1984.
The family will receive friends at Freedom Baptist Church, 2115 Middle Rd., Eastover, NC 28312 on Monday, February 6, 2023, from 10am to 11am.  The service will immediately follow.   
She will be laid to rest on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 11am at the Fort Bragg Main Post Cemetery.
