Aaron Strother, 32, of Fayetteville passed away on March 24, 2026.
Aaron was born in Wurzburg, Germany on April 2 ,1993 to Robbi Cole Strother and Kevin Strother. He is preceded in death by his father, Kevin Strother.
Aaron was a man of many layers, known to his wife as an "adorable mountain man" who navigated life with the creative heart of an artist and the wandering spirit of a true explorer. Whether he was meticulously building as a Lego master, pro gaming, or expressing his talents through drawing, painting, and crafting,
A veteran of the United States Navy and a dedicated employee at the Goodyear tire plant, he brought a sense of duty and craftsmanship to everything he touched. A student of history and the ultimate Batman fan, he could often be found immersed in a comic book or researching pirate lore, usually while wearing one of his signature aloha shirts. His legendary "world’s best travel agent skills" fueled a life of road trips and constant exploration, often leading him to the relaxed atmosphere of a favorite tiki bar for a glass of rum.
Aaron’s loyalties were just as vibrant as his personality; he was forever a Tarheel and a Carolina Panthers fan, a regular at watching the Marksmen hockey games, and a lifelong enthusiast of racecars. He leaves behind a legacy of creativity, adventure, and an unmistakable sense of style that turned every day into a new discovery.
Left to cherish Aaron's memory is his wife, Jillian Strother; mother, Robbi Strother; mother and father-in-law, Donna and Alan Gervickas; sister and brother-in-law, Josilyn Aponte and Jerrell Gervickas; nieces, Jovilyn & Jaylyn Aponte; grandma -in-law, Barbara Smalls, his beloved pet, Kyla-Ren as well as many additional family members and friends.
A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 6-8 pm at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service & Crematory located at 610 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301. A private family burial will be held on a later date at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
