What if the funeral home is sold or goes out of business? If the funeral home is sold, the new owners may honor any existing pre-arranged contracts. The funds must be held by a third party such as a bank or life insurance company for security. If the firm should go out of business, the funds held by the bank or the life insurance company may be transferred to another funeral home of your choice.
